Hat and Scarf for Decorating a Wine Bottle

Use this little hat and scarf to add flair to a hostess gift.  Or make several sets and use them to dress up the wine bottles at your next party.  They only take a few minutes to make!

You will need:

Green felt

White felt

A small pompom

Scissors

Hot glue

Step 1.

Cut a strip of felt about twelve inches long and one inch wide.  Feather the edges to make fringe.

Step 2.

Cut a square of felt about two and a half inches across.

Step 3.

Roll the square into a cone, glue the seam in place, and trim the bottom so that it is even.

Step 4.

Finish the hat by gluing a pom pom on top a strip of white felt around the bottom.

Step 5.

Put the hat on the wine bottle.  Wrap the scarf around the bottle and secure it in place with a drop of glue.

Wine can be produced anywhere grapes can grow.  The name of the wine indicates the variety of grapes used to make the wine.  However, the region where the grapes were grown, the ripeness of the grapes, and the fermentation process all effect the flavor of the wine.

Crafts

Even if you can't crochet or knit, you can make these mittens! They add a cute, cozy touch to your Christmas tree.

These ornaments are made from a dough similar to salt dough but the recipe uses cinnamon instead of flour. The dough exudes a spicy, delightful fragrance.

Use twigs to make this rustic Christmas tree. Add a few sequins and a topper and you will have a gorgeous ornament.
