Rustic Stick Ornament

Collect a few twigs on your next walk and use them to make this rustic ornament.  Decorate your little tree with beads, sequins, and ribbon.  Then use it to add a rustic charm to your Christmas tree.

 You will need:

A long straight stick

A popsicle stick

Glue

Sequins

Gold ribbon

 Step 1.

Break the stick into pieces.  You want nine pieces, making each stick slightly smaller than the previous stick.

 Step 2.

Glue the sticks to the popsicle stick, leaving about one half inch of the popsicle stick to form the trunk.  Cut off the rest of the popsicle stick.

 Step 3.

Top the tree with a little bow.  Glue on a loop of ribbon so that you can hang the ornament on the tree.

 Step 4.

Decorate the tree with sequins or beads.

Birdseed Ornaments

According to the Guiness Book of World Records, the fastest time to decorate a tree was 36.89 seconds!  The record does not say exactly how the tree looked...  Most of us like to make decorating the tree into a fun event, but if you're in a hurry this holiday, perhaps you can set a new record!
