Rolled Paper Beads

You will need:

1.  Colored paper

2.  Glue

3.  A rod or a straw

4.  Scissors

 A circle of paper beads
Colored paper triangles  1.  Cut the paper into triangles that are eight inches long and one inch wide at the base.  You can make bigger or smaller triangles if you want bigger or smaller beads.
A line of glue on the center of a yellow paper triangle  2.  Put a thin line of glue down the middle of the triangle.  Don't put glue on the very base.
The yellow paper rolled around a dowel  3.  Starting from the wide end of the triagle, wrap the paper around the rod or straw.  You may need to put a little dab of glue on the tip of the triangle so it sticks firmly.
The paper now looks like a bead when it is slipped off the rod 4.  Gently slide the bead off the rod or straw.  Let it sit for an hour while the glue dries.
Colorful paper beads on a string 5.  Thread your bead to make a necklace or a bracelet.  If you like making these beads, you could make a lot a make a beaded curtain.
