Rice Krispy Treat Wreaths

These wreaths are festive and tasty.  They are also quick and easy to make and the kids will love to help.  They are cute gifts for neighbors or teachers.  You can make the wreaths big or little, depending on how many you want and how you plan to serve them.  The recipe below makes about 15 wreaths.

Step 4.  Decorate the wreaths.

Use the candy to add colorful "ornaments" to each wreath.  You can use mini candies or cut up larger candies.  The Rice Krispy Treats are slightly sticky so the candy should stay in place.

When we think of food dye, most of us think of the McCormicks food coloring, a box with red, yellow, blue, and green dye in pointy bottles.  If you want more color variations, look in the cake decorating section of a craft store.  You can, in fact, find dyes for just about any color including black, orange, purple, and many variations of blue and green.
