Peanut Butter Rose

This sweet peanut butter concoction has a Playdough like texture.  Use it to make decorations for cakes, cupcakes, and even sandwich trays.

You will need:

1.  1 cup of peanut butter

2.  1/2 cup of honey

3.  2 cups of powdered sugar

A light brown rose on a chocolate heart cake
A lump of smooth, light brown dough 1.  Mix the honey, peanut butter, and powdered sugar until it is smooth.  You can add small amount of powdered sugar or water if you need to adjust the texture.  This dough will get softer with heat.  If it gets too runny while you are working with it, put it in the fridge for a few minutes.
A round, flat piece of dough 2.  Make nine little balls of dough, about 1/2 inch in diameter.  Flatten them with the palm of your hand.
A roll of the dough 3.  Take one of the flat pieces.  Roll it up like a mini burrito.
Wrap the flat pieces. They begin to look like petal 4.  Wrap three of the other pieces around this first piece, overlapping each one slightly.  Then make another layer with the remaining five pieces.  Your finished rose will have a lot of excess dough at the bottom.  Pinch this off.

5.  Use your rose to decorate!  Once you have mastered the rose, try to make other sculptures.  You can make other flowers, geometric shapes or little animals.
