No Candy Valentine

Print out the cards.  Use frosting to "glue" on the animal cracker.  Wrap and distribute!  There are several steps involved in making these valentines so they are fun to make with a group or in big batches.  We like that they come with a treat that isn't too sweet.

You will need:

1.  Print the animal cracker valentine pattern

2.  Cardstock

3.  Scissors, glue, and tape

4.  Wax paper

5.  A small amount of frosting

6.  Frosted animal crackers

7.  Plastic sandwich bags

8.  A stapler

8.  Colored paper and ribbon (optional)

Print the cards.  Paste them to cardstock. 1.  Print out the pattern for the cards.  Cut out the cards and paste them to stiff cardstock.
Wrap each card in wax paper 2.  Wrap each card in wax paper.

5.  Decorate the bag.  Here are some ways we've decorated these valentines.

A.  Take a piece of paper an inch thick and as wide as the bag.  Fold it in half over the top of the bag and staple it in place.

B.  Take a small piece of paper an inch thick.  Fold it in half over the top of the bag.  Punch two holes in it.  Tie a piece of ribbon through the holes and then curl the ends of the ribbon.
